Expansion joints are flexible piping elements used for taking up movements in piping systems. These movements can be caused by thermal expansion, ground movements or misalignment. Our expansion joints are also successfully used as vibration absorbers for flexible connections to pumps, cold water chillers or other equipment. BOA expansion joints are successfully used in piping systems for water, steam, thermal oil, gases and different chemicals and can also be found in exhaust systems of large diesel- and gas engines.

An expansion joint is typically comprised of several main parts, all contributing to the proper functioning of the
expansion joint.
- The bellow in stainless steel, rubber or plastic
- The connection parts (e.g. weld ends or flanges)
- Inner sleeve (if required)
- Tie rods or hinges (if required)

All main components, eventually added with other parts, are being assembled to the proper expansion joint for
your specific needs.
